Pay with Interac e-Transfer
GoGrocery does not take credit cards on the website. After you check out, you send one Interac e-Transfer from your own banking app — we never ask for your bank login or card number.
How payment works
- Place your order on gogrocery.ca — add items, choose a Calgary delivery day, and submit checkout. Your order is saved with status awaiting e-Transfer until we receive payment.
- Check your email for the order confirmation. It includes the exact total due, the payment email address (typically payments@gogrocery.ca), and your order number for the memo field.
- Send an Interac e-Transfer from your Canadian bank or credit union app: enter the exact total, send to the payment address in the email, and put your order number in the message or memo so we can match your payment.
- We confirm payment when the transfer arrives. You will get an email and your order status in My account will update. Fulfillment and delivery are scheduled after payment is confirmed.
- Delivery on the day you selected at checkout (within our Calgary schedule).
The same steps appear on your order confirmation page and in My account while payment is pending.
Why e-Transfer?
- No credit or debit card required on our site.
- Works with any Canadian bank or credit union that supports Interac e-Transfer.
- You never share online banking credentials with GoGrocery — you only use your bank's app or website to send the transfer.
- Your order moves forward only after we receive and match your payment (not when you click "Place order" alone).
FAQ
- How long until my payment is confirmed?
- Most e-Transfers arrive within minutes during business hours. We manually confirm payments and update your order status; you will receive an email when it is marked paid. If you sent payment and do not hear from us within one business day, contact us with your order number.
- What if I send the wrong amount?
- Send the exact total shown in your confirmation email. If you over- or under-pay, contact us at support@gogrocery.ca or via the contact page with your order number — we will help reconcile before fulfillment.
- How do refunds work?
- If we cancel an order or owe you money after fulfillment (for example, a significant out-of-stock adjustment), we will arrange repayment by e-Transfer or another method agreed with you. For order issues, reach us through Contact — see also our Terms of Service for cancellation and liability limits.
- Is Interac e-Transfer safe?
- e-Transfer is a standard Canadian payment method handled by your financial institution. GoGrocery only receives the transfer — we never see your card numbers or banking password. Use the official payment address from your order email, not a address from an unsolicited message.
